Implementation Ideas

• Lists of HM stories with Quiz Numbers posted for grades 1-3 in back of classroom and in lab
• For Grade 1 (or other appropriate readers), lists of which books have auditory support
• Have Leveled Readers labeled
• Start grade 1 students on math facts so they know how to login when they begin reading
• Adopt a classroom for AR each year with mentoring
• Adopt a classroom for AM with mentoring
• STAR Early Literacy roll out for grades K-1 and maybe 2.

Training Ideas

• Review of best search strategies, tools, etc for classroom support
• Review activation of quizzes, "classroom helper" accounts, scanner accounts, demonstrating, synching with books read in library.
• Break into groups according to needs
• AR Basics (Refresher + new folks) - Goal setting, quiz management, book levels, labeling, HM books
• Reading Intervention (Star Early Literacy, Star Reading, AR)
• AR: Differentiation/Introduction in Grades K & 1 (beginning and refresher):  book labeling, recorded voices, library books
• AM Basics (STAR Math, libraries, uses (homework, daily check, differentiation)
• Math Intervention
