  • 10 minutes Math Facts in a Flash
  • 20 minutes - Check your AR Goals (reading level average), Words Learned report, and Student Record Report.

Write down the information about your goal, how many books you have read so far this year, and how many words you have learned this year.  THIS REPORT WILL GO HOME TO YOUR PARENTS IN FRIDAY FOLDERS.

 

  • Finish any unfinished computer lab work. 

 

  • Go to enVision math multiplication games that have been assigned for you to do.  Complete the list.

Google Earth Exploration & Questions

  1. Google Earth Setup:
    • Turn Off All Layers
    • Turn On the Following Layers Only
      • Borders and Labels:  Borders, Labels
      • Places of Interest:  All 3 (Mountains, USA Features, Bodies of Water)
  2. Work in Pairs and fill out your worksheet using the Google Earth File: 211362-MG_California_Missions.kmz
  3. Click here on the file link in Step 2, then "Open".  It will launch Google Earth
  4. Don't forget to choose a mission for the next phrase.  Write down your mission on the bottom of your page.

 

Google Earth Tips

 

1. Use pan, tilt and zoom to better view the geography.

2. In the menu, go to Tools > Options and the View Tab. Change the "Elevation Exaggeration" to "2"

to better see variations in geography.

  1. Use the template to create a PowerPoint for your mission file.
  2. From the resources below, enter the information you found for your mission on the appropriate slide.
  • Title Page with your mission name, your name and date.
  • Basic mission facts-- year built, founder, name, number in chain.
  • Geography: why was it important?
  • Mission Life: what did they do? What problems did they have?
  • The mission today (advanced: embed the Quicktime Panorama)
  • If I Were In Charge: What you would have done: Would you have built the mission where it is? Why or why not?
